ABOUT
Hodell Window Covering, Inc., a veteran owned small business, provides custom blinds, shades, shutters, drapes, valances, cornice boards, bedspreads, dust ruffles, and pillows. As technology advances, Hodell has become adept at motorizing and automating all of these products. In 1999 it became one of only three window covering companies to have a Non-Appropriated Fund contract with the U.S. Air Force, providing blinds, draperies and bedspreads for their lodging facilities worldwide. In 2003, Hodell was awarded a GSA contract that has allowed us to provide our products and services to other government agencies. Whether it’s a small $10.00 job in our backyard or a $1.6 million contract for a multi-floor hospital complex in Okinawa, Japan, Hodell is Here.
OUR HISTORY
Like so many great American entrepreneurial tales, ours begins in the converted garage of a humble home in New Braunfels, TX. Having immigrated from Germany as a boy, our founder, Hans Hodell, was determined to make a name for himself. After serving as a U.S. Marine, he began selling fabric and learning the drapery business. In 1983, he and his wife, Lynn, opened Hodell Window Covering out of their home and began building a business, one blind and one drapery at a time. Hans & Lynn bring a strong work ethic, a deep moral base and the tenacious determination to go above and beyond what their clients expect.
Today, more than thirty-eight years later, a new generation of leadership is at the helm. We are taking what Hans & Lynn taught us and the foundation they laid for us and continuing to build a reputation and a brand that stand on the simple principle of providing the best window covering experience, one window at a time.
